Hon. Penelope Isobel Portman1

Hon. Penelope Isobel Portman was born on 21 July 1913.3 She was the daughter of Gerald Berkeley Portman, 7th Viscount Portman of Bryanston and Dorothy Marie Isolde Sheffield.3 She married, firstly, Brigadier Archer Francis Lawrence Clive, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir George Sidney Clive and Madeline Buxton, on 8 February 1934.1 She and Brigadier Archer Francis Lawrence Clive were divorced in 1949.4 She married, secondly, David Arthur Salvin Bowlby, son of Arthur Salvin Bowlby and Catherine Mary Bowlby Bond, on 1 March 1949.1 She died on 7 February 1987 at age 73 at Grimsby, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.5
From 8 February 1934, her married name became Clive. From 1 March 1949, her married name became Bowlby.
