     Flora MacDonald was born in 1722 at Milton, South Uist, Inverness-shire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Ranald Macdonald, 2nd of Milton and Marion Macdonald.³ She married Alan MacDonald, 7th of Kingsburgh, son of Alexander Macdonald, 6th of Kingsburgh and Florence Macdonald.¹ She died on 4 March 1790.²
     Flora MacDonald also went by the nick-name of Flora ‘of the 45’.³

     Neill MacAlister was the son of Hector MacAlister.¹ He died, aged 15, without issue.¹

     John Grimston, 6th Earl of Verulam was born on 17 July 1912.² He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 4th Earl of Verulam and Lady Violet Constance Maitland Brabazon.² He married Marjorie Ray Duncan, daughter of Walter Atholl Duncan, on 2 June 1938.² He died on 15 April 1973 at age 60.²

     James Walter Grimston, 4th Earl of Verulam was born on 17 April 1880.¹ He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and Margaret Frances Graham.² He married Lady Violet Constance Maitland Brabazon, daughter of Reginald Brabazon, 12th Earl of Meath and Lady Mary Jane Maitland, on 27 October 1909.² He died on 29 November 1949 at age 69, as a result of a car accident.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was member of a U-boat crew in 1900.¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1905 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1909 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was an electrical engineer.¹ He was founder and chairman Enfield Cables Ltd.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Grimston [I., 1719] on 11 November 1924.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Grimston [U.K., 1815] on 11 November 1924.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Verulam [U.K., 1815] on 11 November 1924.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Dunboyne, co.      Lady Helen Grimston was born in 1879. She was the daughter of James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and Margaret Frances Graham.² She married Sir Felix Cassel, 1st Bt., son of M. S. Cassel and Wilhelmina Cassel, on 18 November 1908.¹ She died on 7 October 1947.¹
     From 18 November 1908, her married name became Cassel.

     Lady Aline Grimston was born in 1883. She was the daughter of James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and Margaret Frances Graham.¹ She married Major Geoffrey Arthur Barnett, son of Charles Edward Barnett, on 24 July 1907.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Grimston was born in 1885.¹ She was the daughter of James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and Margaret Frances Graham.¹ She married, firstly, Major Hesketh Vernon Hesketh-Prichard, son of Hesketh Brodrick Prichard, on 1 June 1908.¹ She married, secondly, Major Thomas Augustus Motion, son of Richard William Motion, on 12 July 1927.³ She died in 1975.³
     From 1 June 1908, her married name became Hesketh-Prichard. She was Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Mary between 1924 and 1936.¹ From 12 July 1927, her married name became Motion. She was Extra Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Mary between 1936 and 1953.¹

     Lady Vera Grimston was born in 1890. She was the daughter of James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam and Margaret Frances Graham.² She married Maurice Francis Headlam, son of Francis John Headlam, on 21 January 1922.¹
     She was registered as a State Registered Nurse (S.R.N.)¹ She was registered as a State Certified Midwife (S.C.M.)¹ From 21 January 1922, her married name became Headlam.³

     James Brabazon Grimston, 5th Earl of Verulam was born on 11 October 1910.¹ He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 4th Earl of Verulam and Lady Violet Constance Maitland Brabazon.¹ He died on 19 October 1960 at age 50, unmarried.¹

     Lady Elizabeth Harriot Grimston was born on 31 August 1939.¹ She was the daughter of John Grimston, 6th Earl of Verulam and Marjorie Ray Duncan.¹ She married John Christopher George Savile, 8th Earl of Mexborough of Lifford, son of John Raphael Wentworth Savile, 7th Earl of Mexborough of Lifford and Josephine Bertha Emily Fletcher, on 30 May 1958.³ She and John Christopher George Savile, 8th Earl of Mexborough of Lifford were divorced in 1972.⁴ She died in 1987.⁴
     From 30 May 1958, her married name became Savile.
