     Flora McNeill is the daughter of Lachlan McNeill of Tearfergus.² She married John ‘dubh’ MacAlister, son of Hector MacAlister.¹
     Her married name became MacAlister.

     Alexander MacAlister was born circa 1706.¹ He was the son of John ‘dubh’ MacAlister and Flora McNeill.² He died in 1779.¹
     He lived at Cour and Sunadill, Scotland.¹

     John MacAlister was born circa 1746.¹ He was the son of Alexander MacAlister.² He died in 1826, without issue.¹

     Ranald MacAlister was born in 1715.¹ He was the son of John ‘dubh’ MacAlister and Flora McNeill.² He married Anne MacDonald, daughter of Alexander Macdonald, 6th of Kingsburgh and Florence Macdonald, in 1742.¹ He died in 1762.¹
     He lived at Skerrinish, Isle of Skye, Scotland.¹ He also had three sons (who died young) and four daughters.¹

     Alexander Macdonald, 6th of Kingsburgh was born circa 1689.¹ He is the son of Donald Macdonald, 5th of Kingsburgh and Margaret Nicolson of Scorriebank.¹ He married Florence Macdonald, daughter of John Macdonald, 2nd of Castleton and Anne MacLean.¹ He died on 18 January 1772.¹
     In 1746 he entertained Bonnie Prince Charlie at Kingsburgh.²

     Anne MacDonald is the daughter of Alexander Macdonald, 6th of Kingsburgh and Florence Macdonald.^2,3 She married Ranald MacAlister, son of John ‘dubh’ MacAlister and Flora McNeill, in 1742.¹
     From 1742, her married name became MacAlister.
