     He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹ He lived at Wimbledon, London, England.³

     Lt.-Col. David Hunter Blair was born on 22 January 1827.¹ He was the son of Sir David Hunter Blair of Blairquhan, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Hay.² He died on 31 March 1869 at age 42 at Rome, Italy.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scots Fusiliers Guards.¹

     Sir David Oswald Hunter Blair of Dunskey, 5th Bt. was born on 30 September 1853.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Hunter Blair of Blairquhan and Dunskey, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Wauchope.² He died on 12 September 1939 at age 85, unmarried.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Ayr and Wigtown Militia.¹ He graduated from Magdalen College School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, in 1878 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was ordained in 1886.¹ He was the master between 1889 and 1909 at Hunter Blair’s, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was the Rector between 1890 and 1895 at Abbey School, Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire, Scotland.¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Hunter Blair, of Dunskey [G.B., 1786] on 7 October 1896.¹ He was the Abbot between 1913 and 1917 at Fort Augustus, Inverness-shire, Scotland.¹

     James Hunter Blair was born on 12 December 1854.¹ He was the son of Sir Edward Hunter Blair of Blairquhan and Dunskey, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Wauchope.² He died on 25 July 1870 at age 15 at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.¹
