     John Fitzhardinge Berkeley Gage was born on 3 June 1901.¹ He was the son of Captain Æella Molyneux Berkeley Gage and Ethel Marion Lysaght.¹ He married, firstly, Olivia Beth Maclachlan, daughter of Brig.-Gen. R. G. Maclachlan, on 29 December 1923.¹ He and Olivia Beth Maclachlan were divorced in 1927.¹ He married, secondly, Griselda Margaret Paine, daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir Godfrey Marshall Paine and Elizabeth Knowles, on 31 October 1931.¹ He and Griselda Margaret Paine were divorced in 1937.¹ He married, thirdly, Jenny Elvira Hansen, daughter of Lorentz Hansen, after 1937.¹ He died in 1967.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Ella Henrietta Maxse was born in 1831.² She was the daughter of James Maxse and Lady Caroline FitzHardinge Berkeley.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Thomas Gage, son of Henry Hall Gage, 4th Viscount Gage of Castle Island and Elizabeth Maria Foley, on 18 November 1862.¹ She died on 7 June 1916.²
     Her married name became Gage.

     Arabella Elizabeth Gage was baptised on 29 September 1827 at West Meon, Hampshire, England.² She was the daughter of Hon. Thomas William Gage and Arabella Cecil St. Quintin.¹ She married Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Thomas Gage, son of Henry Hall Gage, 4th Viscount Gage of Castle Island and Elizabeth Maria Foley, on 17 January 1856.¹ She died on 8 November 1860 at age 33.¹

     Arabella Cecil St. Quintin was born on 22 May 1796.² She was the daughter of William Thomas St. Quintin and Arabella Bridget Calcraft.¹ She was baptised on 20 June 1796 at Rillington, Yorkshire, England.² She married Hon. Thomas William Gage, son of Maj.-Gen. Henry Gage, 3rd Viscount Gage of Castle Island and Susannah Maria Skinner, on 12 June 1824.¹ She died on 25 February 1840 at age 43.¹
     Her married name became Gage.

     William Thomas St. Quintin was born on 26 May 1769.³ He is the son of Vice-Admiral George Darby and Mary St. Quintin.⁴ He married Arabella Bridget Calcraft, daughter of General Thomas Calcraft and Cecil Ann Walker, on 31 October 1795.³ He died on 18 January 1805 at age 35.³
     He was given the name of William Thomas Darby at birth.³ On 31 October 1795 his name was legally changed to William Thomas St. Quintin by Royal Licence.³ He lived at Sunbury, London, England^G.³ He lived at Scampston Hall, Malton, Yorkshire, England^G.³

     Captain Æella Molyneux Berkeley Gage was born on 29 September 1863.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Thomas Gage and Ella Henrietta Maxse.¹ He married Ethel Marion Lysaght, daughter of John Lysaght, on 30 October 1888.¹ He died on 25 August 1937 at age 73.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 14th Hussars.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Territorial Forces Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant-Colonel.¹ He was Inspector of War Camps in 1916 at Egypt^G.¹ He lived at Sludge Hall, Billesdon, Leicestershire, England^G.¹

     Ethel Marion Lysaght was the daughter of John Lysaght.¹ She married Captain Æella Molyneux Berkeley Gage, son of Lt.-Gen. Hon. Edward Thomas Gage and Ella Henrietta Maxse, on 30 October 1888.¹ She died on 27 October 1949.¹
     Her married name became Gage.

     John Lysaght lived at Springfort, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Olivia Beth Maclachlan was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. R. G. Maclachlan.¹ She married John Fitzhardinge Berkeley Gage, son of Captain Æella Molyneux Berkeley Gage and Ethel Marion Lysaght, on 29 December 1923.¹ She and John Fitzhardinge Berkeley Gage were divorced in 1927.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Cdr. Philip Hales Pleydell-Bouverie, son of Seymour Pleydell-Bouverie and Alice Mary Campbell, on 30 November 1927.² She and Lt.-Cdr. Philip Hales Pleydell-Bouverie were divorced in 1945.² She died in 1948.¹
     She was adopted by Brig.-Gen. R. G. Maclachlan.¹ Her married name became Gage. From 30 November 1927, her married name became Pleydell-Bouverie.²

     Griselda Margaret Paine was born on 11 June 1904 at Inverness, Inverness-shire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Sir Godfrey Marshall Paine and Elizabeth Knowles.^1,2 She married John Fitzhardinge Berkeley Gage, son of Captain Æella Molyneux Berkeley Gage and Ethel Marion Lysaght, on 31 October 1931.¹ She and John Fitzhardinge Berkeley Gage were divorced in 1937.¹ She died in 1992 at Hampshire, England.^1,2
     Her married name became Gage.
