Sir Henry Trotter, 11th of Mortonhall and 2nd of Charterhall and Hon. Eva Gifford, on 26 January 1905.2 He died on 8 January 1939 at age 77.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Horse Artillery.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevet-Colonel of the Lovat Scouts.1
