Ajax, Grand Fleet between 1914 and 1916.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM George V between 1914 and 1916.1 He was Admiral Superintendent of the Devonport Dockyard between 1916 and 1919.1 He was awarded the Military Order of Avis of Portugal 1st class.1
