     Donald Sterling Palmer Howard, 3rd Baron Strathcona and Mount Royal was born on 14 June 1891.² He was the son of Robert Jared Bliss Howard and Margaret Charlotte Smith, Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal.² He married Hon. Diana Evelyn Loder, daughter of Gerald Walter Erskine Loder, 1st Baron Wakehurst and Lady Louise de Vere Beauclerk, on 25 October 1922.² He died on 22 February 1959 at age 67.²

He was the son of Robert Palmer Howard.² He married Margaret Charlotte Smith, Baroness Strathcona and Mount Royal, daughter of Donald Alexander Smith, 1st Baron Strathcona and Mount Royal and Isabella Sophia Hardisty, on 8 March 1888.² He died on 9 January 1921 at 46 Green Street, London, England.
