John Archibald Sinclair, 3rd Viscount Thurso

John Archibald Sinclair, 3rd Viscount Thurso was born on 10 September 1953.2 He is the son of Robin Macdonald Sinclair, 2nd Viscount Thurso and Margaret Beaumont Robertson.3 He married Marion Ticknor Sage, daughter of Louis Davidson Sage, on 12 June 1976.2
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He was director of Lancaster Hotel between 1981 and 1985.2 He was director of Cliveden House Ltd between 1987 and 1993.2 He was chairman of Luchdu Hotels.3 He was director of Grenfell Holdings between 1992 and 1995.2 He was director of Savoy Hotel plc in 1993.3 He was managing director Champneys –, chairman Lochdu Hotels in 1995.2 He was director of Fitness & Leisure Holdings in 1995.2 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Sinclair, of Ulbster, co. Caithness [G.B., 1786] in June 1995.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Viscount Thurso, of Ulbster, co. Caithness [U.K., 1952] in June 1995.2 He was director of Walker Greenbank in 1997.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross between 2001 and 2015. He held the office of Elected Member of the House of Lords in 2016.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness in 2017.2
