Rt. Hon. Sir Lionel Frederick Heald was born on 7 August 1897.2 He was the son of James Heald.3 He married, firstly, Flavia Forbes, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Stewart Forbes and Lady Angela Selina Bianca St. Clair-Erskine, on 9 April 1923.3 He and Flavia Forbes were divorced in June 1928 on the grounds of her adultery with Captain James Roy Notter Garton.3,2 He married, secondly, Daphne Constance Price, daughter of Montague Whittingham Price and Clementina Elizabeth Charlotte Villiers, on 15 May 1929.2 He died on 8 November 1981 at age 84 at Chilworth Manor, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.2 He was buried at St. Martha-on-the-Hill Churchyard, Chilworth, Surrey, England.4
He was appointed Queen’s Counsel (Q.C.)3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Chertsey between 1950 and 1970.1,2 He held the office of Attorney-General between 1951 and 1954.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1954.1 He lived at Chilworth Manor, Guildford, Surrey, EnglandG.1
