     From 15 February 1819, her married name became Sotheby.1

     Rear-Admiral Charles Sotheby was born in 1782.1 He was the son of William Sotheby and Mary Isted.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Jame Hamilton, daughter of William Hamilton of Wishaw, 7th Lord Belhaven and Stenton and Penelope Macdonald, on 15 February 1819.2 He married, secondly, Mary Anne Sotheby, daughter of Admiral Thomas Sotheby and Lady Mary Anne Bourke, in 1830.2 He died on 20 January 1854.1
     He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the Red.1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral of the Blue.2 He lived at High Beach, Essex, England.1

     Colonel William Sotheby was born in 1688.1 He was the son of James Sotheby and Anne Robinson.2 He married Elizabeth Sloane, daughter of William Sloane and Hesther Heathcote, on 20 October 1750.1 He died on 7 February 1766.1 He was buried on 17 February 1766 at Hackney, London, England.3
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.1
