Yorks [U.K., 1876] in June 1987.² He succeeded as the 7th Baron Wharncliffe of Wortley, co. York [U.K., 1826] in June 1987.² He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Wharncliffe, West Riding, co. Yorks [U.K., 1876] in June 1987.²

     William Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley was born on 18 April 1959.¹ He is the son of Alan Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Virginia Anne Claybaugh.¹ He married Dorothea Jane Riley, daughter of Ronald Riley, in 1985.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 18 Nola Avenue, Rochester, New Hampshire, U.S.A.¹

     Anne Steele Montagu-Stuart-Wortley was born on 30 January 1955.¹ She is the daughter of Alan Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley and Virginia Anne Claybaugh.¹ She married Robert B. Losty, son of Bruce Losty, in 1987.¹
     From 1987, her married name became Losty.¹

     Lady Ann Lavinia Maud Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie was born on 25 January 1919.² She was the daughter of Archibald Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Wharncliffe and Lady Maud Lillian Elfreda Mary Wentworth-Fitzwilliam.^1,2 She married Commander Vivian Russell Salvin Bowlby, son of Colonel Robert Russell Bowlby and Violet Campbell, on 26 September 1939.¹ She died in 2022.³
     She was with the MTC during the Second World War.² Her married name became Bowlby. She lived in 2003 at Sutton Stables, Felixkirk Road, Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, Yorkshire, England.²

     Sir John Bagot was the son of Ralph Bagot and Elizabeth de Blithfield.¹ He married Beatrice Villiers, daughter of Sir John Villiers.¹ He died in 1437.¹
     He fought in the campaign in Spain in 1386, serving with John of Gaunt.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of Calais in 1408.¹ He fought in the Battle of Agincourt in 1415.¹ He lived at Blithfield, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Ralph Bagot was born after 1331.¹ He was the son of Sir John Bagot and Eglina Mallory.¹ He married Elizabeth de Blithfield, daughter of John de Blithfield.¹ He died circa 1376.¹
     His wife brought him the manors of Blithfield and Littlehay, Staffordshire.¹ He lived at Bagot’s Bromley, Staffordshire, England^G.¹

     Lady Barbara Maureen Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie was born on 26 August 1921.¹ She was the daughter of Archibald Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Wharncliffe and Lady Maud Lillian Elfreda Mary Wentworth-Fitzwilliam.¹ She married David Cecil Ricardo, son of Major Louis Ferdinand Ricardo, on 23 June 1943.¹ She died on 13 December 2014 at age 93.²
     Her married name became Ricardo. She was with the WLA and Remount Depot, Melton Mowbray during the Second World War.¹

     David Cecil Ricardo is the son of Major Louis Ferdinand Ricardo.¹ He married Lady Barbara Maureen Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, daughter of Archibald Ralph Montagu-Stuart-Wortley-Mackenzie, 3rd Earl of Wharncliffe and Lady Maud Lillian Elfreda Mary Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, on 23 June 1943.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 8th King’s Royal Irish Hussars.¹
