Sir Hereward Wake, 12th Bt.1 
He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Wake, of Clevedon, Somerset and Piddington, co. Northampton [E., 1621] on 13 April 1865.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment.2 In 1874 the City of London acquired Epping Forest from him, making it a public Park.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northamptonshire.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1879.2
