     From 8 February 1887, her married name became Archdale.¹

     Richard Montgomery Archdale was born on 29 December 1892.¹ He was the son of George Montgomery Archdale and Lucy Glynn.¹ He married Phyllis Katheren Wake, daughter of Sir Hereward Wake, 12th Bt. and Catherine St. Aubyn, on 19 April 1919.² He died on 15 November 1965 at age 72.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War, with the 19th Hussars.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, Gloucestershire Hussars.¹ He was awarded the Military Medal of Merit Greek.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.¹

     Phyllis Katheren Wake was born on 20 February 1887 at London, England.^2,3 She was the daughter of Sir Hereward Wake, 12th Bt. and Catherine St. Aubyn.^1,3 She married Richard Montgomery Archdale, son of George Montgomery Archdale and Lucy Glynn, on 19 April 1919.²
     She was a nurse during the First World War at France.² From 29 April 1919, her married name became Archdale.¹ She was with MI5 and the Ministry of Infomation during the Second World War.² As of 1976, Phyllis Katheren Wake lived at Vigila, M’soneddi, Harare, Zimbabwe^G.¹

     Sir Hereward Wake, 12th Bt. was born on 19 July 1852.² He was the son of Sir William Wake, 11th Bt. and Margaret Anne Fricker.³ He married Catherine St. Aubyn, daughter of Sir Edward St. Aubyn, 1st Bt. and Emma Knollys, on 14 April 1874.³ He died on 5 January 1916 at age 63.²
     He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Wake, of Clevedon, Somerset and Piddington, co. Northampton [E., 1621] on 13 April 1865.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 4th Battalion, Northamptonshire Regiment.² In 1874 the City of London acquired Epping Forest from him, making it a public Park.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Northamptonshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Northamptonshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Northamptonshire in 1879.²

     Nicholas Montgomery Archdale was born on 5 February 1924.¹ He was the son of Richard Montgomery Archdale and Phyllis Katheren Wake.¹ He married Patricia Mary Thomas, daughter of Herbert William Thomas and Enid Bartley, on 10 November 1953.² He died on 5 March 2020 at age 96.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, with the 60th Rifles and Parachute Regiment.¹ He was educated at Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He lived at Penbedw Hall, Nannerch, Clywd, Wales^G.¹

     Patricia Mary Thomas was born in 1934.² She is the daughter of Herbert William Thomas and Enid Bartley.^1,2 She married Nicholas Montgomery Archdale, son of Richard Montgomery Archdale and Phyllis Katheren Wake, on 10 November 1953.³
     From 10 November 1953, her married name became Archdale.¹

     Herbert William Thomas was born in 1901.² He married Enid Bartley.² He died in 1954.²

     Edward Montgomery Archdale was born on 16 July 1954.¹ He is the son of Nicholas Montgomery Archdale and Patricia Mary Thomas.¹
