     Her married name became Heriot.¹ From 1883, her married name became de Burgh-Lawson.¹

     Sir John Thornycroft graduated with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹

     Mary Beatrix Thornycroft was the daughter of Sir John Thornycroft.² She married Frederic Strickland, son of Sir Charles William Strickland, 8th Bt. and Anne Elizabeth Nevile, on 21 July 1903.¹ She died on 24 September 1965.¹
