Admiral James Newburgh Strange1

     Admiral James Newburgh Strange was born on 2 October 1812 at Chennai, India.1,2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Andrew Lumisden Strange and Louisa Burroughs.3 He married Charlotte Maria Eyre, daughter of George Eyre and Frances Hulse, on 8 January 1846 at London, England.1,2 He died on 1 November 1894 at age 82 at North Hill, Bagshot, Surrey, England.2
     He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.1
