Edward Richard Russell, 1st Baron Russell of Liverpool was born on 9 August 1834.1 He was the son of Edward Haslingden Russell and Mary Anne Crook.2 He married, firstly, Eliza Sophia Bradley, daughter of Stephen Bradley, on 16 December 1858.1 He married, secondly, Jean Stewart Macdonald, daughter of Alexander Macdonald, on 30 April 1902.1 He died on 20 February 1920 at age 85.1
He was editor of the Liverpool Daily between 1869 and 1915.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Glasgow Bridgeton between 1885 and 1887.1 He was appointed Knight in 1893.1 He was 1st president of the Liverpool Reform Club.1 He was created 1st Baron Russell of Liverpool, of Liverpool, Lancashire [U.K.] on 9 October 1919.1

Edward Haslingden Russell was born on 3 December 1859.1 He was the son of Edward Richard Russell, 1st Baron Russell of Liverpool and Eliza Sophia Bradley.2 He married Maud Robertson, daughter of T. W. Robertson, on 16 December 1891.1 He died on 12 March 1906 at age 46, without issue.1
