     Sir Philip John Frederick Pilditch, 3rd Bt. was born on 11 August 1919.¹ He was the son of Sir Philip Harold Pilditch, 2nd Bt. and Frances Isabella Weeks.² He married Phyllis Jean Stewart-Smith, daughter of Major Dudley Cautley Stewart-Smith, on 2 June 1948.¹ He died on 11 May 1954 at age 34.¹
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, he was invalided out.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Pilditch, of Bartropps, Weybridge, co. Surrey [U.K., 1929] on 19 December 1949.¹

     Major Dudley Cautley Stewart-Smith was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)¹ He lived at Weybridge, Surrey, England.¹

     Phyllis Jean Stewart-Smith is the daughter of Major Dudley Cautley Stewart-Smith.² She married, firstly, Sir Philip John Frederick Pilditch, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Philip Harold Pilditch, 2nd Bt. and Frances Isabella Weeks, on 2 June 1948.¹ She married, secondly, David Smith in 1977.¹
     Phyllis Jean Stewart-Smith usually went by her middle name of Jean.¹ From 2 June 1948, her married name became Pilditch.¹ From 1977, her married name became Smith.¹ She lived at 2 St Mary’s Meadows, Ludlow, Shropshire, England.¹

     Frances Jean Pilditch was born on 14 June 1952.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Philip John Frederick Pilditch, 3rd Bt. and Phyllis Jean Stewart-Smith.² She married George Phillips Yeats, son of George Yeats, in 1978.¹
     From 1978, her married name became Yeats.¹
