     Sir Philip Edward Pilditch, 1st Bt. was born on 12 August 1861 at Plymouth, Devon, England.^2,3 He was the son of Philip John Pilditch and Ellen Rosa Cox.^2,3 He married Emily Mary Lewis, daughter of John Lewis, on 11 July 1888.² He died on 17 December 1948 at age 87.²
     He was educated at Cheverley Hall School, Mannamead, Plymouth, Devon, England.² He was educated at King’s College School, Wimbledon, London, England^G.² He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Sussex Volunteer Artillery.² He was founder of Pilditch, Chadwick and Company, architects.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County London.² He held the office of member of the London County Council (L.C.C.) between 1907 and 1919.² He held the office of Vice-Chairman of the London County Council (L.C.C.) between 1913 and 1914.² He was founder and honorary treasurer of the Battalion Funds for London, Middlesex and Surrey Battalions of the New Army during the First World War.² He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1918.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Unionist) for Spelthorne between 1918 and 1931.² He wrote the book Retrenchment.² He wrote the book The Eighties and To-day.² He wrote the book Elizabethan Plymouth.² He wrote the book Hadrian’s Wall.² He was created 1st Baronet Pilditch, of Bartropps, Weybridge, co. Surrey [U.K.] on 28 June 1929.²

     Mabel Emily Pilditch was the daughter of Sir Philip Edward Pilditch, 1st Bt. and Emily Mary Lewis.² She married Major Henry Alexander Hammick, son of Sir Murray Hammick and Ada Constance Searle, on 8 January 1919.² She died in 1990.²
     Mabel Emily Pilditch also went by the nick-name of May.² From 8 January 1919, her married name became Hammick.²

     Henry Edgar Murray Hammick was born on 9 November 1919.¹ He was the son of Major Henry Alexander Hammick and Mabel Emily Pilditch.² He married Eleanor Macleod Lawder, daughter of Commander Patrick Bruce Lawder, on 20 April 1949.¹ He died on 7 March 2005 at age 85 at Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, Cornwall, England.³
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹ He lived in 2003 at 9 Newenham Road, Lymington, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Commander Patrick Bruce Lawder gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹

     Eleanor Macleod Lawder is the daughter of Commander Patrick Bruce Lawder.² She married Henry Edgar Murray Hammick, son of Major Henry Alexander Hammick and Mabel Emily Pilditch, on 20 April 1949.¹
     From 20 April 1949, her married name became Hammick.

     Elizabeth Helen Macleod Hammick was born on 9 April 1951.¹ She is the daughter of Henry Edgar Murray Hammick and Eleanor Macleod Lawder.² She married Mark William Scott in 1992.¹
