     Mary Isabella Symonds was the daughter of John Addington Symonds and Harriet Sykes.² She married Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt., son of Edward Strachey and Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick, on 3 November 1857 at Clifton, Bristol, England.¹ She died on 5 October 1883.²

     She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)² From 13 July 1887, her married name became Strachey.¹ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.²

     Evelyn St. John Loe Strachey was born on 21 October 1901 at Guildford, London, England.¹ He was the son of John St. Loe Strachey and Henrietta Mary Amy Simpson.¹ He married, firstly, Esther Murphy, daughter of Patrick Francis Murphy, on 24 April 1929.³ He and Esther Murphy were divorced in 1933.³ He married, secondly, Celia Simpson, daughter of Reverend Arthur Hume Simpson, on 13 October 1933.³ He died on 15 July 1963 at age 61.¹

     Reverend George Downing Bowles was born circa 1789.¹ He married Anne Stillingfleet on 8 October 1818 at St. Mary, Great Malvern, Worcestershire, England.¹
