Peter Capel Meyrick, son of Admiral Sir Sidney Julius Meyrick and Judith Fullerton, on 20 April 1933 at Brompton Oratory, Kensington, London, England.¹

Peter Capel Meyrick was born on 28 September 1909 at Westhampnett, Sussex, England.^1,2 He was the son of Admiral Sir Sidney Julius Meyrick and Judith Fullerton.¹ He married Mary Josephine Deedes, daughter of General Sir Charles Parker Deedes and Eve Mary Dean-Pitt, on 20 April 1933 at Brompton Oratory, Kensington, London, England.¹ He died on 8 November 1942 at age 33 at Oran, Algeria^G, killed in action aboard H.M.S. Walney.²
     He was educated at Twyford School, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Midshipman on 1 September 1927 in the Royal Navy.² He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June 1932.² He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 June 1940.²

     Beatrice Elaine Murgatroyd was the daughter of H. M. Murgatroyd.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Charles Julius Deedes, son of General Sir Charles Parker Deedes and Eve Mary Dean-Pitt, on 4 September 1939 at St. Wilfred’s Church, York, Yorkshire, England.¹ She died before 7 May 2005.¹
     From 4 September 1939, her married name became Deedes.¹

     Sir Eugene Aynsley Goossens was the son of Eugène Goossens.¹ He married Dorothy Smith-Dodsworth, daughter of Frederick Cadwallader Smith-Dodsworth and Hannah Elizabeth Harrison, in 1919.² He died in 1962.³

     He retired from the military in 1992, with the rank of Colonel, late of the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.¹
