     Donald Maccallum, 7th of Poltalloch was the son of Reverend Archibald MacCallum of Dunoronsay, 4th of Poltalloch and Janet MacLachlan.2 He married Margaret Campbell.1 He died in 1738.1
     In 1673 he acquired Over Rudhill.1 He held the office of Baillie of Glassary.1 He was Chamberlain to the Earl of Lauderdale.1 In 1715 he signed a resolution to support the Government.1 He was he entailed the estates of Poltalloch and those of Knockalva.1

     Jean Campbell married Zachary Maccallum, 5th of Poltalloch, son of Reverend Archibald MacCallum of Dunoronsay, 4th of Poltalloch and Janet Boyd.1
     She was possibly daughter of teh Laird of Duntroon.1 Her married name became Maccallum.

Archibald Maccallum, 6th of Poltalloch1

     Archibald Maccallum, 6th of Poltalloch was the son of Zachary Maccallum, 5th of Poltalloch and Jean Campbell.2 He married Katherine Bannatyne.1 He died at Ireland.1
     In 1697 he disponed the family estates to his half-uncle, Donald MacCallum.1

John Maccallum1

     John Maccallum is the son of Zachary Maccallum, 5th of Poltalloch and Jean Campbell.2 He married Margaret McEwen in 1681.1
     He lived at Knockalva, Scotland.1 In 1700 he disponed Knockalva to his half-uncle, Donald, 7th of Poltalloch and went to Ireland.1

Margaret McEwen1

     Margaret McEwen married John Maccallum, son of Zachary Maccallum, 5th of Poltalloch and Jean Campbell, in 1681.1
     Her married name became Maccallum.

Katherine Bannatyne1

     Katherine Bannatyne married Archibald Maccallum, 6th of Poltalloch, son of Zachary Maccallum, 5th of Poltalloch and Jean Campbell.1
     And is said to have gone to Ireland.1 Her married name became Maccallum. She lived the Kames family.1

     Archibald MacCallum, 8th of Poltalloch was the son of Donald Maccallum, 7th of Poltalloch and Margaret Campbell.2 He married, firstly, Janet McLachlan, daughter of unknown McLachlan, in 1707.1 He married, secondly, Marion McKisaig in 1756.1 He died in 1758.1
     He was a practising Writer of the Signet (W.S.)1 In 1715 he signed the resolution of 1715.1

Alexander Malcolm, 9th of Poltalloch1

     Alexander Malcolm, 9th of Poltalloch was born circa 1687.1 He was the son of Donald Maccallum, 7th of Poltalloch and Margaret Campbell.2 He married Elizabeth Clerk, daughter of Dugald Clerk of Braleckan.1 He died on 6 June 1787, (probably a centenarian).1
     He continued to describe himself for a period as ‘of Glennan,’ and entrusted the management of his estates to His son, who thus acted as Laird of Poltalloch de facto.1
