     Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt. was born on 29 October 1853.¹ He was the son of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor.² He married Helena Jane Challinor, daughter of Charles Challinor, on 16 August 1881.¹ He died on 13 December 1927 at age 74.¹
     He was educated at Rossall School, Fleetwood, Lancashire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Rugby School, Rugby, Warwickshire, England.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1876 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cumberland.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Cumberland.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Lewthwaite, of Broadgate, Parish of Thwaites, co. Cumberland [U.K.] on 26 January 1927.¹

     Anne Lewthwaite was the daughter of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor.² She married Hamlet Riley on 25 April 1878.¹ She died on 21 April 1933.¹
     From 25 April 1878, her married name became Riley.

     Hamlet Riley married Anne Lewthwaite, daughter of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor, on 25 April 1878.¹ He died on 14 October 1922.¹
     He lived at Ennim, Penrith, Cumberland, England.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Daniel Falkiner was baptised on 16 December 1641.² He is the son of Michael Falkiner and Susan Jackson.² He married Rebecca Blackwell in 1694.¹ He died from 8 March 1705 to 8 April 1705.²

     Helena Jane Challinor was the daughter of Charles Challinor.² She married Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt., son of William Lewthwaite and Mary Challinor, on 16 August 1881.¹ She died on 8 February 1934.¹
     Stoke-on-Trent.¹ She lived Basford Hall.¹ Her married name became Lewthwaite. She was Staffordshire (see BLG ) in 1952.¹

     Sir William Lewthwaite, 2nd Bt. was born on 20 June 1882.¹ He was the son of Sir William Lewthwaite, 1st Bt. and Helena Jane Challinor.² He married Beryl Mary Stopford Hickman, daughter of Major Stopford Cosby Hickman, on 26 October 1910.¹ He died on 13 June 1933 at age 50.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Field Artillery.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cumberland.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Lewthwaite, of Broadgate, Parish of Thwaites, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1927] on 13 December 1927.¹
