     Emily Sarah Frances Sumner was born in 1832 at Farnham, Surrey, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Rt. Rev. Charles Richard Sumner and Jennie Fannie Barnabine Maunoir.¹ She married Robert Newman Milford in 1854 at Farnham, Surrey, England^G.¹
     From 1854, her married name became Milford.¹

     Colonel Hon. Herbert Alexander Lawrence was born on 8 August 1861.¹ He was the son of John Laird Mair Lawrence, 1st Baron Lawrence of the Punjaub and of Grately and Harriette Katherine Hamilton.² He married Hon. Isabel Mary Mills, daughter of Charles Henry Mills, 1st Baron Hillingdon and Lady Louisa Isabella Lascelles, on 26 April 1892.¹ He died on 17 January 1943 at age 81.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, and he was mentioned in despatches twice.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Honorary Colonel of the King’s Colonials.³ He fought in the First World War.³ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the Manchester Regiment and 17th/21st Lancers.³ He was General and Chief of General Staff of the British Armies in France in 1918.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 65th (Manch) AA Brigade, Royal Artillery (TA.)³

     Robert George Canham was baptised on 11 April 1816 at St. Mary, Fordham, Norfolk, England.¹ He was the son of Anthony South Canham and Margaret Holland.¹ He married Margaret Arnold in 1841 at Hastings, Kent, England.¹

     Hon. Isabel Mary Mills was the daughter of Charles Henry Mills, 1st Baron Hillingdon and Lady Louisa Isabella Lascelles.^2,3 She married Colonel Hon. Herbert Alexander Lawrence, son of John Laird Mair Lawrence, 1st Baron Lawrence of the Punjaub and of Grately and Harriette Katherine Hamilton, on 26 April 1892.¹ She died on 30 March 1941.¹
     From 26 April 1892, her married name became Lawrence.

     Oliver John Lawrence was born on 5 August 1893.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hon. Herbert Alexander Lawrence and Hon. Isabel Mary Mills.² He died on 25 May 1915 at age 21, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the PO Rifles.¹

     Michael Charles Lawrence was born on 6 October 1894.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hon. Herbert Alexander Lawrence and Hon. Isabel Mary Mills.² He died on 18 September 1916 at age 21, from wounds received in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the PO Rifles.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the Coldstream Guards.¹

     Elizabeth Barbara Peace Lawrence was born on 18 May 1902.¹ She was the daughter of Colonel Hon. Herbert Alexander Lawrence and Hon. Isabel Mary Mills.² She married Major Desmond Abel Smith, son of Eustace Abel Smith and Aileen Geta Katherine Conolly, on 1 June 1923.¹ She died on 26 December 1985 at age 83 at Missenden, Buckinghamshire, England.³
     From 1 June 1923, her married name became Abel Smith. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Richard Campbell lived at Auchinbreck, Argyllshire, Scotland.¹

     unknown Lawrence was the son of John Hamilton Lawrence, 2nd Baron Lawrence of the Punjaub and of Grately and Mary Caroline Douglas.¹ He died, in infancy.¹

     John Lawrence Abel Smith was born on 9 April 1934.¹ He is the son of Major Desmond Abel Smith and Elizabeth Barbara Peace Lawrence.² He married Caroline Bridget Bartlam, daughter of Captain Howard Bennett Bartlam and Mary Isobel (?), in 1970.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹
