     Lady Frances Clifford is the daughter of Henry Clifford, 2nd Earl of Cumberland and Anne Dacre.¹ She married Philip Wharton, 3rd Baron Wharton, son of Thomas Wharton, 2nd Baron Wharton and Lady Anne Radcliffe, on 24 June 1577.² She died in 1592.²
     After her marriage, Lady Frances Clifford was styled as Baroness Wharton on 24 June 1577. From 24 June 1577, her married name became Wharton.¹

     Colonel Sackville Tufton was born circa 1647.¹ He was the son of John Tufton, 2nd Earl of Thanet and Lady Margaret Sackville.¹ He married Elizabeth Wilbraham, daughter of Ralph Wilbraham and Christiana Leigh.¹ He died on 30 March 1721.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Guards.¹

     Elizabeth Wilbraham is the daughter of Ralph Wilbraham and Christiana Leigh.^1,2 She married Colonel Sackville Tufton, son of John Tufton, 2nd Earl of Thanet and Lady Margaret Sackville.¹
     Her married name became Tufton.¹

     Captain Howard Bennett Bartlam married Mary Isobel (?)² He died on 18 November 1970 at Immingham, Lincolnshire, England, killed in a car crash.²
     He lived at Arkholme, Lancashire, England.¹

     John Tufton was born on 25 May 1687.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sackville Tufton and Elizabeth Wilbraham.¹ He died on 23 February 1689/90 at age 2.¹

     Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet was born on 11 May 1688.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sackville Tufton and Elizabeth Wilbraham.¹ He married Lady Mary Saville, daughter of William Saville, 2nd Marquess of Halifax and Lady Mary Finch, on 11 June 1722.¹ He died on 4 December 1753 at age 65.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Appleby between 1722 and 1729.¹ He succeeded as the 7th Earl of the Isle of Thanet, co. Kent [E., 1628] on 30 July 1729.¹

     Lady Mary Sackville was the daughter of Lord John Philip Sackville and Lady Frances Leveson-Gower.^1,2 She married Sackville Tufton, 8th Earl of Thanet, son of Sackville Tufton, 7th Earl of Thanet and Lady Mary Saville, on 30 July 1767.¹ She died on 30 September 1778.¹
     From 30 July 1767, her married name became Tufton.¹
