     Thomas Rennie Stevenson was born on 26 October 1841.¹ He was the son of Nathaniel Stevenson and Margaret Jane Scott.² He married Isabella Friend, daughter of John Banks Friend and Ellen Pigeon, on 4 June 1870.¹ He died on 19 November 1923 at age 82.¹
     He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882, including Battle of Tel-el-Kebir (despatches, medal and clasp and Khedive’s Star.)¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1884.¹ He was commander of the Royal Irish Fusiliers in 1886.¹ He was commander of the 26th and 71st Regiment Districts between 1887 and 1892.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1893.¹ He was Colonel of the Royal Irish Fusiliers in 1899.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     John Banks Friend was born in 1808 at Hanover Square, London, England.² He was baptised on 9 September 1808 at Birvhington, Kent, England.² He married Ellen Pigeon on 23 August 1836 at Christ Church Greyfriars, Newgate, London, England.²
     He lived at Ripple Vale, Kent, England.³

     Isabella Friend was born circa 1839 at Christs Hospital, London, England.² She was the daughter of John Banks Friend and Ellen Pigeon.^3,2 She married Thomas Rennie Stevenson, son of Nathaniel Stevenson and Margaret Jane Scott, on 4 June 1870.¹ She died on 31 August 1924.¹
     From 4 June 1870, her married name became Stevenson.

     Hamilton Bruce Stevenson was born on 8 February 1875.¹ He was the son of Thomas Rennie Stevenson and Isabella Friend.² He died circa 1876, an infant.¹

     Herbert Harry Macdonald Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance was born on 14 July 1876.¹ He was the son of Thomas Rennie Stevenson and Isabella Friend.² He married Helen Constance Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart, daughter of William James Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart of Castlemilk and Constance Marie de Lormet Dennistoun, on 9 July 1929.¹ He died on 17 September 1953 at age 77.¹
     He was given the name of Herbert Harry Macdonald Stevenson at birth.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1922 in the Highland Light Infantry.¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹ In 1938 his name was legally changed to Herbert Harry Macdonald Stuart-Stevenson when his wife succeeded to estates of Castlemilk and Torrance.¹ He was recognised by Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Court on 26 March 1946.¹ He lived at Sunnyside, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     William James Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart of Castlemilk was born in 1855.² He was the son of Captain James Stirling Crawford Stirling-Stuart and Harriet Boswell Erskine Fortescue. He married Constance Marie de Lormet Dennistoun, daughter of Alexander Dennistoun and Georgina Oakeley. He died in 1938 at Carmunnock, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.²

     Helen Constance Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart was born in 1896 at Carmunnock, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² She was the daughter of William James Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart of Castlemilk and Constance Marie de Lormet Dennistoun.³ She married Herbert Harry Macdonald Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance, son of Thomas Rennie Stevenson and Isabella Friend, on 9 July 1929.¹ She died on 17 December 1985.¹
     From 9 July 1929, her married name became Stevenson.

     James Stuart Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance was born on 14 August 1930.¹ He is the son of Herbert Harry Macdonald Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance and Helen Constance Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart.² He married, firstly, Felita Marie West, daughter of James Everett West, on 14 January 1957.¹ He married, secondly, Clare Marie-Thérèse Sligo, daughter of Ronald William Sligo of Inzievar, on 18 September 1987 at Australia.¹
     He was given the name of James Stuart Stevenson at birth.¹ In 1938 his name was legally changed to James Stuart Stuart-Stevenson.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He was admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1958 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He was Principal of the National Association of Securities Dealers, USA in 1969.¹ He was a practising barrister [Victoria] in 1972.¹ He was registered as a Certified Public Accountant [Australia] in 1973.¹ He lived in 2003 at Flat 4, 8th Floor, 201 Spring Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia^G.¹

     James Everett West lived at Beverly Hills, California, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Felita Marie West was the daughter of James Everett West.² She married, secondly, James Stuart Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance, son of Herbert Harry Macdonald Stuart-Stevenson of Torrance and Helen Constance Crawfurd-Stirling-Stuart, on 14 January 1957.¹ She died on 23 September 1968 at Los Angeles, California, U.S.A.^G.¹
     Her married name became Reed.¹ From 14 January 1957, her married name became Stuart-Stevenson.
