     Colonel Edgar Alan Lambart was born on 2 January 1857.1 He was the son of Commander Hon. Oliver William Matthew Lambart and Anne Elizabeth Willes.2 He married, firstly, Hannah Geraldine Stirling-Stuart, daughter of Captain James Stirling Crawford Stirling-Stuart, on 29 December 1884.1 He married, secondly, Mary Louisa Walker, daughter of Sir James Robert Walker, 2nd Bt. and Louisa Susan Marlborough Heron-Maxwell, on 14 April 1891.1 He died on 30 June 1930 at age 73.1
     He fought in the Afghan War between 1879 and 1880.3 He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1917, where he was mentioned in despatches.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1919.1 He wrote the book Leaves From a Family Tree.4

     He gained the rank of Captain in the King’s Dragoon Guards.4 He lived at Castle Milk, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1
