Sir John Gordon1

He lived at Strathbogie, ScotlandG.1 He was also known as Joannes de Gordon.2 He was also known as John de Gordun.2 He and Elizabeth Cruickshank were associated in a ‘handfast union.2‘ He fought in the Anglo-Scottish Wars between 1377 and 1388.2 On 13 July 1378 he had a grant of lands in Strathbogie, Aberdeenshire by King Robert II.2 In November 1378 he took Berwick by surprise with a handful of men.2 He fought in the Battle of Otterburn on 21 July 1388.2
