     John Henry William Somerset was born on 29 January 1848.¹ He was the son of Reverend Villiers Henry Plantagenet Somerset and Frances Dorothy Ley.¹ He married, firstly, Mary de Chair Denshire, daughter of Reverend W. C. Denshire, on 3 September 1889.¹ He married, secondly, Isabel Maud Courtney, daughter of Frederick Courtney, on 14 November 1893.¹ He died on 2 March 1928 at age 80.¹

     Mary de Chair Denshire was the daughter of Reverend W. C. Denshire.¹ She married John Henry William Somerset, son of Reverend Villiers Henry Plantagenet Somerset and Frances Dorothy Ley, on 3 September 1889.¹ She died on 19 March 1892.¹

     Villiers Henry Plantagenet Somerset was born on 16 August 1890.¹ He was the son of John Henry William Somerset and Mary de Chair Denshire.¹ He died on 23 April 1915 at age 24, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of Private in the 10th Battalion, 2nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Contingent.¹ He fought in the First World War.
