     Sir Archibald Hope of Rankeillor was the son of Sir John Hope of Craighall, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Murray.2 He married Margaret Aytoun, daughter of Sir John Aytoun of that Ilk.1 He died on 10 October 1706.1
     He held the office of Lord of Session [Scotland] in 1689.1

Sir Thomas Hope of Craighall, 8th Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Hope of Craighall, 8th Bt. was the son of Sir Archibald Hope of Rankeillor and Margaret Aytoun.2 He married Margaret Lowis, daughter of Ninian Lowis of Merchiston, on 16 March 1702 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2,3 He died on 17 April 1771.2
     He laid out The Meadows or Hope Park on Edinburgh’s south side.2 He was an agriculturalist.2 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Hope, of Craighall [N.S., 1628] in 1766.2

     He lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1

     Robert Hope was baptised on 1 January 1687.1 He was the son of Sir Archibald Hope of Rankeillor and Margaret Aytoun.2 He married Marian Glas, daughter of John Glas of Sauchie, circa 1716.1 He died on 17 November 1743 at age 56.1
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 He lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
