     Lt.-Gen. Sir Rufane Shawe Donkin married, firstly, Elizabeth Frances Markham, daughter of Very Rev. George Markham and Elizabeth Evelyn Sutton. He married Lady Anna Maria Elliot, daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 1st Earl of Minto and Anna Maria Amyand, in 1832.¹ He died in 1841.¹
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)¹

     Lady Harriet Mary Frances Elliot was the daughter of Gilbert Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound, 1st Earl of Minto and Anna Maria Amyand.¹ She died in July 1825.¹

     Gilbert John Elliot was born on 25 July 1818. He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.² He married Isabella Elizabeth Gore, daughter of Reverend Thomas Gore and Elizabeth Margaret Corbet, on 27 November 1849 at All Saints, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.^1,3 He died on 20 August 1852 at age 34.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 47th Regiment.²

     Isabella Elizabeth Gore was born circa 1823.² She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Gore and Elizabeth Margaret Corbet.³ She married Gilbert John Elliot, son of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness, on 27 November 1849 at All Saints, Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.^3,2 She died on 20 February 1902.³
     Her married name became Elliot.

     Reverend Thomas Gore was born on 11 November 1767.¹ He was the son of Richard Gore and Martha Fiott.^1,2 He married Elizabeth Margaret Corbet, daughter of Robert Corbet, on 22 September 1810.¹ He died on 4 June 1834 at age 66.¹
     He was the Rector at Mulrancan, County Wexford, Ireland^G.¹

     Elizabeth Margaret Corbet was the daughter of Robert Corbet.² She married Reverend Thomas Gore, son of Richard Gore and Martha Fiott, on 22 September 1810.¹ She died in 1856.¹
     Her married name became Gore.

     Lieutenant Horatio Foley Elliot was born circa 1820. He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.¹ He died in 1845.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Navy.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Alexander James Hardy Elliot was born on 23 February 1825.¹ He was the son of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.¹ He married Gertrude Mary Wilmot Williams, daughter of James Wilmot Williams, on 5 June 1855.¹ He died on 1 July 1909 at age 84.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 21st Lancers.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He gained the rank of Major-Gneeral in the 5th Dragoon Guards.¹

     Gertrude Mary Wilmot Williams was the daughter of James Wilmot Williams.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Alexander James Hardy Elliot, son of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness, on 5 June 1855.¹ She died on 5 May 1909.¹
     Her married name became Elliot.

     Lt.-Gen. William Frederick Scarlett, 3rd Baron Abinger was born on 30 August 1826 at Abinger Hall, Abinger, Surrey, England^G.¹ He was the son of Robert Campbell Scarlett, 2nd Baron Abinger and Sarah Smith.¹ He married Helen Magruder, daughter of Commodore George Allen Magruder, on 23 December 1863 at Montreal, Quebec, Canada^G.¹ He died on 16 January 1892 at age 65 at Monzie Villa, Fort William, Scotland^G.¹ He was buried at Inverlochy, Inverness-shire, Scotland^G.¹ His will (dated at £108,167 gross and £93,933 net) was proven (by probate.)¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in 1846 in the Scots Fusilier Guards.¹ He fought in the Battle of Alma.¹ He fought in the Battle of Balaclava.¹ He fought in the Crimean War between 1854 and 1856.¹ He fought in the Battle of Inkerman on 5 November 1854.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1855 in the Scots Fusilier Guards.¹ He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Abinger, of Abinger, Surrey and of the city of Norwich [U.K., 1835] on 24 June 1861.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1868.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1874.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1877.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 2 June 1877.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1882.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Inverness-shire.²
