     Hon. Olivia Gwyneth Zoë FitzRoy was born on 27 May 1921.² She was the daughter of Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry and Grace Zoë Guinness.^1,2 She married Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt., son of Major Cecil Robert Bates and Hylda Madeleine Heath, on 31 July 1957.¹ She died on 24 December 1969 at age 48.¹
     She gained the rank of 3rd Officer in the Women’s Royal Naval Service, during the Second World War.² She was an author.² Her married name became Bates.

     Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt. was born on 2 October 1921.¹ He was the son of Major Cecil Robert Bates and Hylda Madeleine Heath.² He married, firstly, Kitty Lane, daughter of Ernest Kendall Lane and Kate Smith, on 12 July 1945.¹ He married, secondly, Hon. Olivia Gwyneth Zoë FitzRoy, daughter of Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry and Grace Zoë Guinness, on 31 July 1957.¹ He married, thirdly, Juliet Eleanor Hugolyn Whitelocke, daughter of Commander G. Whitelocke, in 1971.¹ He died on 13 February 2005 at age 83.³

     Her married name became Bates.

     Ernest Kendall Lane was born on 25 May 1914 at Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada.² He was the son of Ernest Kendall Lane and Kate Smith.^2,3 He married Dorothy Elizabeth Dale, daughter of William Albert Dale and Mildred Elizabeth Fletcher.² He died on 28 December 1994 at age 80 at Westside Care Center, 3324 Old Okanagan Highway, Westbank, British Columbia, Canada.³
     He lived at Ponteix, Saskatchewan, Canada^G.¹ He gained the rank of Bombardier in the Royal Canadian Air Force.² He fought in the Second World War.² He lived at Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada^G, owner of the local Ford and John Deere dealerships.² He lived at Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada^G.²

     Edward Robert Bates, 6th Bt. was born on 4 July 1946.¹ He was the son of Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt. and Kitty Lane.¹ He died on 25 March 2007 at age 60.²
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹ He was educated at University of Grenoble, Grenoble, France^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at Gwynllys, Rhiw, Groes, Denbighshire, Wales^G.¹ He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Bates, of Bellefield, co. Lancaster [U.K., 1880] on 13 February 2005.³

     Richard Geoffrey Bates was born on 13 March 1948.¹ He was the son of Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt. and Kitty Lane.¹ He married Diana Margaret Rankin in 1971.¹ He died on 3 August 2002 at age 54.¹

     Celina Zoë Bates was born on 7 October 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt. and Hon. Olivia Gwyneth Zoë FitzRoy.¹ She married Timothy M. Radcliffe, son of R. J. Radcliffe, before 1993.¹
     From before 1993, her married name became Radcliffe.¹

     Sarah Rose Bates was born on 4 January 1960.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Geoffrey Voltelin Bates, 5th Bt. and Hon. Olivia Gwyneth Zoë FitzRoy.¹ She died on 5 March 1977 at age 17, as the result of an accident.¹
