Alexander William Robert Bosville1 
He was given the name of Alexander William Robert Macdonald at birth.2 He succeeded as the 12th Baronet Macdonald, of Sleat, in the Isle of Skye, co. Inverness [N.S., 1625] on 13 October 1832, de jure, but not recognized as such during his lifetime, becuase he was born before the marriage of his parents (later held to be legitimate under Scottish law.)2 On 26 December 1832 his name was legally changed to Alexander William Robert Bosville by Royal Licence.3 On 22 July 1847 by Act of Parliament he inherited his father’s Bosville estates in Yorkshire.4
