     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.² He gained the rank of officer in 1885 in the 17th Lancers.² He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.² He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Madras between 1896 and 1898.² He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, he was mentioned in despatches and awarded the South African Medal with three clasps and the King’s Medal with two clasps.² He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1902.² He was Lieutenant-Colonel and Brevel Colonel of the 17th Lancers between 1903 and 1907.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.¹ He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.² He was Commander of the Reserve Cavalry Regiment between 1916 and 1916.² He was Commander of the Cavalry Brigade between 1916 and 1918 at France.² He gained the rank of Honorary Brigadier-General in 1919.² He was chairman of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Territorial Army Association between 1925 and 1938.² He held the office of County Councillor (C.C.) for Hampshire between 1932 and 1942.² He held the office of Vice-Lieutenant of Hampshire between 1932 and 1942.² He was the Governor between 1934 and 1944 at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.² He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1937.² He held the office of County Alderman (C.A.) of Hampshire in 1943.²

     Hon. Hyacinthe Frances Littleton was born on 7 October 1874.¹ She was the daughter of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley.² She died on 27 June 1951 at age 76, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Susan Helen Littleton was born on 17 February 1877.¹ She was the daughter of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley.² She married Reverend Owen Fitzherbert Jacson on 19 April 1900.¹
     From 19 April 1900, her married name became Jacson.

     Reverend Owen Fitzherbert Jacson married Hon. Susan Helen Littleton, daughter of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley, on 19 April 1900.¹ He died on 13 January 1935.¹
     He lived at Tedsmore Hall, Oswestry, Shropshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Mary Cecilia Littleton was born on 8 February 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley.²

     Hon. Edith Modwena Littleton was born on 19 January 1888.¹ She was the daughter of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley.²
     She fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.¹ She was awarded the Associate, Royal Red Cross (A.R.R.C.)¹

     After her marriage, Judith Anne Bates was styled as Viscountess Hawarden on 8 April 1995. From 8 April 1995, her married name became Maude.
