     Sir James Suttie of Balgone, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 10 May 1692.¹ He was the son of Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 1st Bt. and Marion Elizabeth Semple.² He married Elizabeth Dalrymple, daughter of Hon. Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 1st Bt. and Marion Hamilton, on 12 January 1715.¹ He died on 4 May 1736 at age 43.¹
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Suttie, of Balgone [N.S., 1702].¹

     Sir Robert Lawley, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Robert Lawley, 4th Bt. and Elizabeth Blackwell.¹ He married Jane Thompson, daughter of Beilby Thompson.¹ He died on 11 March 1793.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Warwickshire.¹

     Elizabeth Dalrymple was the daughter of Hon. Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 1st Bt. and Marion Hamilton.² She married Sir James Suttie of Balgone, 2nd Bt., son of Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 1st Bt. and Marion Elizabeth Semple, on 12 January 1715.¹ She died in March 1739.¹

     Lt.-Col. Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 October 1715.¹ He was the son of Sir James Suttie of Balgone, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Dalrymple.² He married Agnes Grant, daughter of William Grant, Lord Prestongrange and Grizel Millar, on 7 June 1757.² He died on 26 November 1783 at age 68.¹
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Suttie, of Balgone [N.S., 1702] on 4 May 1736.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Leighton’s Foot.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington.¹

     Rosetta Jacobs was the daughter of L. Jacobs.¹ She married David Nathan in October 1841.¹ She died in May 1864 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹
     From October 1841, her married name became Nathan.¹

     Thomas Gisborne Gordon was born on 15 December 1851.² He is the son of Reverend John Frederick Gordon and Dorothea Josepha Miller.² He married Marie-Louise Graham, daughter of Ogilvie Blair Graham, on 7 January 1890.² He died on 8 July 1935 at age 83.²
     He lived at Knocknagarm, Ballysax, Curragh, County Kildare, Ireland.²

     Sir James Grant-Suttie of Balgone, 4th Bt. was born on 10 May 1759.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 3rd Bt. and Agnes Grant.² He married Katherine Isabella Hamilton, daughter of J. Hamilton of Bangour, on 14 April 1792 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,3 He died on 20 May 1836 at age 77.^1,3
     He was given the name of James Suttie at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Suttie, of Balgone [N.S., 1702] on 26 November 1783.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington.¹ In 1818 his name was legally changed to James Grant-Suttie on inheriting the Prestongrange estate from his aunt Janet Grant, Countess of Hyndford.¹

     Katherine Isabella Hamilton was born in 1774.³ She was the daughter of J. Hamilton of Bangour.⁴ She married Sir James Grant-Suttie of Balgone, 4th Bt., son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Suttie of Balgone, 3rd Bt. and Agnes Grant, on 14 April 1792 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.^1,3 She died on 27 June 1817.^2,3
     From 14 April 1792, her married name became Suttie.
