Jacobs, in October 1841.² He married, secondly, Edith Barrow Montefiore, daughter of Joseph Barrow Montefiore and Rebecca Mocatta, on 22 January 1878.¹ He died on 23 August 1886 at Waterloo Quadrant, Auckland, New Zealand^G.^1,2 He was buried on 25 August 1886 at Jewish Cemetery, Auckland, New Zealand^G.²
     He emigrated to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G, arriving on December 1839.² He emigrated to Kororareka, New Zealand^G, arriving on 1840.² He lived in November 1841 at Auckland, New Zealand^G.¹ He was member of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce.² He was vice-president of the Auckland Savings Bank.²

     Judith Montefiore is the daughter of Moses Haim Montefiore and Esther Hannah Racah.¹

     Sarah Montefiore is the daughter of Moses Haim Montefiore and Esther Hannah Racah.¹

     Rachel de Mattos Mocatta was the daughter of Abraham Lumbrozo de Mattos Mocatta.¹ She married Joseph Elias Montefiore, son of Moses Haim Montefiore and Esther Hannah Racah, on 13 August 1783.¹ She died on 27 August 1841.¹
     From 13 August 1783, her married name became Montefiore.¹

     Sir Moses Haim Montefiore, 1st and last Bt. was born on 24 November 1784.¹ He was the son of Joseph Elias Montefiore and Rachel de Mattos Mocatta.¹ He married Judith Cohen, daughter of Levi Barent Cohen and Lydia Diamantschleifer, on 10 June 1812.³ He died on 28 July 1885 at age 100, without issue.¹
     He held the office of Sheriff of London and Middlesex in 1837.¹ He was appointed Knight on 9 November 1837.¹ He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Middlesex in 1845.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Montefiore, of East Cliff Lodge, Ramsgate, Kent [U.K.] on 23 July 1846.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Kent in 1847.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹

     Judith Cohen was born in 1784.² She was the daughter of Levi Barent Cohen and Lydia Diamantschleifer.^1,3 She married Sir Moses Haim Montefiore, 1st and last Bt., son of Joseph Elias Montefiore and Rachel de Mattos Mocatta, on 10 June 1812.² She died on 24 September 1862, without issue.²
     From 10 June 1812, her married name became Montefiore.¹

     Mary Montefiore was the daughter of Sir Abraham Montefiore and Mary Hall.¹ She married Benjamin Mocatta.¹ She died on 22 November 1845, without issue.¹
     Her married name became Mocatta.¹

     Benjamin Mocatta married Mary Montefiore, daughter of Sir Abraham Montefiore and Mary Hall.¹
     He lived at London, England^G.¹
