     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)¹ He held the office of President of Trinity College, Oxford between 1907 and 1938.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University between 1917 and 1920.¹ He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.²
     

     Charles Reginald Blakiston was born on 27 September 1863.¹ He was the son of Reverend Douglas Yeoman Blakiston and Sophia Matilda Dent.¹ He died on 21 October 1887 at age 24, accidentally shot.¹

     John Lionel Blakiston was born on 24 June 1867.¹ He was the son of Reverend Douglas Yeoman Blakiston and Sophia Matilda Dent.¹ He died on 18 June 1896 at age 28 at Mazoe, Mashonaland, Zimbabwe^G, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the Mashonaland relief.¹

     William Peyton Blakiston was born on 14 March 1870.¹ He was the son of Reverend Douglas Yeoman Blakiston and Sophia Matilda Dent.¹ He died on 6 October 1889 at age 19 at London, England^G, following an accident at Charing Cross Station.¹

     Hon. Caroline Neville was born in 1790.² She was the daughter of Richard Griffin, 2nd Lord Braybrooke, Baron of Braybrooke and Catherine Grenville.² She married Paul Beilby Lawley-Thompson, 1st Baron Wenlock, son of Sir Robert Lawley, 5th Bt. and Jane Thompson, on 10 May 1817.¹ She died on 2 May 1868.¹
     From 10 May 1817, her married name became Lawley. From 27 September 1820, her married name became Thompson.¹ After her marriage, Hon. Caroline Neville was styled as Baroness Wenlock on 13 May 1839. From 1 June 1839, her married name became Lawley-Thompson.

     Paul Beilby Lawley-Thompson, 1st Baron Wenlock was the son of Sir Robert Lawley, 5th Bt. and Jane Thompson.¹ He married Hon. Caroline Neville, daughter of Richard Griffin, 2nd Lord Braybrooke, Baron of Braybrooke and Catherine Grenville, on 10 May 1817.¹ He died on 9 May 1852.¹
     He was given the name of Paul Beilby Lawley at birth.¹ On 27 September 1820 his name was legally changed to Paul Beilby Thompson by Royal Licence.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Lawley, of Spoonhill, Shropshire [E., 1641] on 30 January 1831.¹ He was created 1st Baron Wenlock, of Wenlock, co. Shropshire [U.K.] on 13 May 1839.¹ On 1 June 1839 his name was legally changed to Paul Beilby Lawley-Thompson by Royal Licence.¹

     George Fane is the son of Francis Fane, 1st Earl of Westmorland and Mary Mildmay.¹

     Sir Henry Fane was the son of George Fane.¹ He married Elizabeth Southcote, daughter of Thomas Southcote.¹ He died in January 1705/6.¹

     Sir Francis Fane was the son of Sir Francis Fane and Hannah Rushworth.¹ He died on 19 December 1726.¹
