Sir Archibald Grant of Monymusk, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Archibald Grant of Monymusk, 2nd Bt. was born in 1696.1 He was the son of Sir Francis Grant of Monymusk, 1st Bt. and Jean Meldrum.2 He married, firstly, Anne Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton of Pencaitland, on 17 April 1717.1 He married, secondly, Anne Potts, daughter of Charles Potts, in 1731.2 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Clark on 18 August 1751.2 He married, fourthly, Jane (?) on 24 May 1770.2 He died on 17 September 1778.1
     He was a practising Advocate in 1714.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aberdeen between 1722 and 1733.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Grant, of Monymusk and Cullen, Buchan [N.S., 1705] circa March 1726.1
