     Thomas Erskine, 9th Earl of Kelie was born circa 1745.1 He was the son of Sir David Erskine and unknown Young.2 He married Anne Gordon, daughter of Adam Gordon of Ardoch, in 1771.1 He died on 6 February 1828, without legitimate issue.1
     He succeeded as the 9th Baron Erskine of Dirletowne [S., 1604] on 28 October 1799.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Erskine, of Cambo, co. Fife [N.S., 1666] on 28 October 1799.1 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount of Fentoun [S., 1619] on 28 October 1799.1 He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Kellie [S., 1619] on 28 October 1799.1 He succeeded as the 9th Viscount of Fentoun [S., 1606] on 28 October 1799.1 He succeeded as the 9th Lord Dirletoun [S., 1619] on 28 October 1799.1 He was British Consul to Gothenburg, Sweden.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1804 and 1806.1 He was appointed Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1807 and 1828.1 He was awarded the Knight Commander, Order of Gustavus of Vasa.1
