Sir Alexander Erskine of Cambo, 2nd Bt. was born in 1663. He was the son of Sir Charles Erskine of Cambo, 1st Bt. and Penelope Barclay.2 He married, firstly, Lady Anne Erskine, daughter of Alexander Erskine, 3rd Earl of Kellie and Anna Kirkpatrick, on 9 November 1681 at Ferry Port on Criag, Fife, Scotland.2,3 He married, secondly, Lady Mary Erskine, daughter of Alexander Erskine, 3rd Earl of Kellie and Mary Dalzell, before 1690.4 He died in 1727.2
He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Erskine, of Cambo, co. Fife [N.S., 1666] in February 1677.2 He held the office of Lord Lyon King of Arms in 1681.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Fifeshire between 1710 and 1713.2
