     Francis Rodes Newton was born on 11 July 1827.¹ He was the son of William Newton.³ He married Anna Louisa Gyllich, daughter of Major Jacob Heitmann Gyllich and Adriane Louise von Meley, on 18 September 1852.¹ He died on 10 December 1886 at age 59 at Malmo, Sweden^G.¹

     Anna Louisa Gyllich was born on 21 August 1833 at St. Croix, Virgin Islands^G.¹ She was the daughter of Major Jacob Heitmann Gyllich and Adriane Louise von Meley.¹ She married Francis Rodes Newton, son of William Newton, on 18 September 1852.¹ She died on 4 December 1862 at age 29.¹
     From 18 September 1852, her married name became Newton.¹

     Marcia Emma Ridley was born on 2 May 1889 at Mayfair, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of Arthur William Ridley and Adriana Elizabeth Newton.¹ She married Major Philip John Sherwin Pearson-Gregory, son of Thomas Sherwin Pearson-Gregory and Mabel Laura Payne, on 17 October 1911 at Mayfair, London, England^G.¹ She died on 6 June 1930 at age 41.¹
     From 17 October 1911, her married name became Pearson-Gregory.¹

     Pamela Frances Ada Ridley was born in November 1896 at Mitford, Norfolk, England^G.² She was the daughter of Arthur William Ridley and Adriana Elizabeth Newton.² She married Colonel Geoffrey Francis Phillips, son of J. Hawtin Phillips, on 6 April 1920 at Nairobi, Kenya^G.²
     From 6 April 1920, her married name became Phillips.²

     Flora Lanyon was the daughter of Sir Charles Lanyon.¹ She married Patrick Savage Young, son of Rt. Hon. John Young and Grace Charlotte Savage, in 1884.¹ She died in 1892.¹
