     He gained the rank of Major in the 108th Foot.1

Edmund Rupert Drummond, son of James David Drummond, 8th Viscount Strathallan and Margaret Smythe, on 11 May 1910.1 She died on 15 April 1978 at age 90.1
     Her married name became Drummond. She was with the Women’s Royal Naval Service.1

     He fought in the Battle of Jutland on 31 May 1916.1 He was commander of the New Zealand Station between 1935 and 1938.1 He held the office of Aide de Camp to HM King George V in 1936.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1937.2 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Ross and Cromarty between 1956 and 1960.2
