William Wavell Wakefield, 1st Baron Wakefield of Kendal was born on 10 March 1898.1 He was the son of Roger William Wakefield and Ethel Mary Knott.1,3 He married Rowena Doris Lewis, daughter of Llewellyn Lewis, on 19 November 1919.4 He died in 1983.4
