     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.² He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He was in the Civil Service with the Deparmtent of Overseas Trade in 1938.² He was with the Ministry of Economic Warfare between 1940 and 1943.² He was with the Foreign Office between 1943 and 1945.² He was in the Civil Service with the Deparmtent of Overseas Trade between 1945 and 1947.² He lived at Hartham Park, Corsham, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     Anthony Arthur Nicholson was born on 19 February 1950.² He is the son of Arthur Wilfrid Nicholson and Jean Elinor Mary Handford.³

     Susan Heyes is the daughter of Donald James Heyes.¹ She married Richard Oliver Faulkner, Baron Faulkner of Worcester, son of Harold Ewart Faulkner and Mabel Riley, on 6 July 1968.¹
     From 6 July 1968, her married name became Faulkner.¹ After her marriage, Susan Heyes was styled as Baroness Faulkner of Worcester on 14 July 1999.
