He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.2 He fought in the First World War.2 He fought in the Kamerun Campaign between 1914 and 1916, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was with the Egyptian Expeditionary Force between 1918 and 1919.2 He was Assistant Inspector between 1921 and 1925 at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.2 He was Experimental Officer between 1926 and 1930 at Admiralty Research Lab, Teddington, London, EnglandG.2 He was commander of the Royal Artillery, Northern Ireland between 1933 and 1936.2 He was Proof and Experimental Officer, Research Department between 1936 and 1940 at Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War.1 He retired from the military in 1944, with the rank of Colonel, late of the Royal Artillery.2 He lived in 1962 at Beechwood, Etchingham, Sussex, EnglandG.2
