     Henry Ashley Travers Cummins was born on 25 January 1847.¹ He was the son of Nicholas Cummins and Julia Anne Travers.² He married Frances Wathan Hill Price, daughter of Commander Hugh Price, in 1876.¹ He died on 10 December 1926 at age 79.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Eastman’s School^G.¹ He was Paymaster of Contingencies, Admiralty between 1890 and 1915.¹ Between 1890 and 1915 Admiralty.¹ He gained the rank of Paymaster Rear-Admiral.¹ He was Paymaster-in-Chief in 1914.¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.¹

     Commander Hugh Price gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹
