     Anthea Moira Enid Cosby was born on 30 July 1940.¹ She is the daughter of Major Errold Ashworth Sydney Cosby and Enid Elizabeth Hamilton.² She married Lt.-Cdr. Patrick Simon Emmet, son of Captain James Albert Garland Emmet and Hon. Jocelyn Portman, on 26 April 1973.¹
     From 26 April 1973, her married name became Emmet.

     Lt.-Cdr. Patrick Simon Emmet was born on 6 April 1932.¹ He is the son of Captain James Albert Garland Emmet and Hon. Jocelyn Portman.² He married Anthea Moira Enid Cosby, daughter of Major Errold Ashworth Sydney Cosby and Enid Elizabeth Hamilton, on 26 April 1973.²
     He was also known as Simon.² He was educated at Ampleforth College, Ampleforth, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England^G.¹ He was commander of the Patrol Boats, Far East Station between 1958 and 1959.¹ He retired from the military in 1965, with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander, late of the Royal Navy.¹ He was a Navigating Officer.¹ He lived in 1976 at Leinster Stud, Old Carton, Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland^G.²

     Francis Cosbie was born in 1510.¹ He was the son of John Cosbie and Mabel Agard.^2,3 He married, firstly, Lady Mary Seymour, daughter of Edward Seymour, 1st Duke of Somerset and Anne Stanhope.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Palmes in 1575.¹ He died on 25 August 1580 at Glenmalure, County Wicklow, Ireland^G, killed in action.¹
     He settled in Ireland during the reign of Queen Mary I.¹ He was an active defender of the Pale.¹ He held the office of Constable of Monasterevin, County Kildare in 1555.³ He held the office of Sheriff of County Kildare in 1558.³ On 14 February 1558 he was appointed General of the Keme by patent.¹ In 1562 he was granted the site of the suppressed Abbey of Stradbally.¹ He held the office of Constable of Maryborough, Queen’s County in 1565.³ He fought in the Battle of Glenmalure on 25 August 1580.¹
