     Adam Fergusson was born [20 June 1723 O.S.] on 1 July 1723 at Logierait, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Reverend Adam Ferguson and Mary Gordon.² He married Catherine Burnett, daughter of James Burnett and Isabella Black, in 1766.² He died on 22 February 1816 at age 92 at St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.¹
     He was a Professor at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.²

     Mabel Agard was born circa 1485 at Foston Hall, Foston, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Ralph Agard and Elizabeth Hussey.¹ She married John Cosbie, son of Robert Cossebye and Isabella Pare, in 1507 at Great Leake, Nottinghamshire, England.¹ She died in 1513.¹
     From 1507, her married name became Cosbie.¹

     Sir Neville Bland was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹

     Elizabeth Lauder married Rear-Admiral John Ferguson, son of Adam Fergusson and Catherine Burnett.¹
     Her married name became Fergusson.¹

     Adam Fergusson was born in 1836.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral John Ferguson and Elizabeth Lauder.¹ He died in 1865.¹

     Isabella Fergusson was the daughter of Adam Fergusson and Catherine Burnett.¹ She died in 1830.¹
