Thomas de Lumley, 1st Lord Lumley1 
He was appointed Knight before 1436.1 He was Joint Commisary-General of the Western Marches in 1436.1 He held the office of Constable of Scarbrough Castle in 1455.1 In 1461 he was able to get his grandfather’s attander reversed after he was created a peer.1 From 1461 to 1462 he commanded troops at Newcastle.1 He was created 1st Lord Lumley [England by writ] on 26 July 1461.1 In December 1462 he helped take the Lancastrian-held Bamburgh Castle.1
