Sir Michael Henry Lakin, 1st Bt. was born on 7 October 1846.2 He was the son of Henry Lakin and Rebecca Mary Greaves.3 He married Alice Emma Dewing, daughter of David Dewing, on 1 July 1869.2 He died on 21 March 1931 at age 84.2
He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1899.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire.2 He was created 1st Baronet Lakin, of The Cliff, co. Warwick [U.K.] on 22 July 1909.2
