     Thomas Gage, 1st Viscount Gage of Castle Island was the son of Joseph Gage and Elizabeth Penruddock.¹ He married, firstly, Benedicta Maria Theresa Hall, daughter of Benedict Hall, in 1717.² He married, secondly, Jane Godfrey on 26 December 1750.² He died on 21 December 1754.²
     He was born a Roman Catholic, became Church of England, and returned to Catholicism before his death.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Minehead from April 1717 to May 1717.¹ He was created 1st Viscount Gage of Castle Island, co. Kerry [Ireland] on 14 September 1720.¹ He was created 1st Baron Gage of Castlebar, co. Mayo [Ireland] on 14 September 1720.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Tewkesbury between 1721 and 1754.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1728.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Gage, of Firley, co. Sussex [E., 1622] on 23 April 1744.¹

     Elizabeth Gideon was the daughter of Sampson Gideon.¹ She married William Hall Gage, 2nd Viscount Gage of Castle Island, son of Thomas Gage, 1st Viscount Gage of Castle Island and Benedicta Maria Theresa Hall, on 3 February 1757.¹ She died on 1 July 1783.¹
     Her married name became Gage.

     John William Gage was the son of John Gage and Mary Milbanke.^1,2 He married Mary Elizabeth Lushington, daughter of William Lushington, on 4 August 1832.¹ He died on 10 January 1849, without issue.¹

     Mary Elizabeth Lushington was the daughter of William Lushington.¹ She married John William Gage, son of John Gage and Mary Milbanke, on 4 August 1832.¹
     Her married name became Gage.

     Mary Gage was the daughter of John Gage and Mary Milbanke.¹ She married Henry Peter Delmé, son of John Delmé, on 28 April 1820.¹ She died on 17 June 1870.¹
     Her married name became Delme.

     Charlotte Margaret Gage was the daughter of John Gage and Mary Milbanke.^1,2 She married John Hodgetts Hodgetts-Foley, son of Hon. Edward Foley and Anna Maria Hodgetts, on 20 October 1825.¹ She died on 9 September 1855.¹
     From 20 October 1825, her married name became Hodgetts-Foley.

     Louisa Henrietta Gage is the daughter of John Gage and Mary Milbanke.^1,2 She married Ernst Rodolf Bertouch, Baron Bertouch on 16 November 1847.¹
     From 16 November 1847, her married name became Bertouch.¹

     Ernst Rodolf Bertouch, Baron Bertouch married Louisa Henrietta Gage, daughter of John Gage and Mary Milbanke, on 16 November 1847.¹ He died on 8 July 1869.¹
     He gained the title of Baron Bertouch [Denmark].¹

     Sir John Gifford married Frances Bellings-Arundell, daughter of Richard Bellings-Arundell and Anne Gage.¹

     Elizabeth Penruddock was the daughter of Sir George Penruddock and Ursula Lawley.¹ She married Joseph Gage, son of Sir Thomas Gage, 2nd Bt. and Mary Chamberlain.¹ She died on 5 December 1693.¹
     Her married name became Gage.¹
